Yerger Receives 2025 Garvin-Kort Faculty Award for Research in Economics

David Yerger has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Garvin-Kort Faculty Award for Research in Economics. Generous donations from 1981 IUP Distinguished Alumni Award recipient John Kort 鈥�74 and the late Alexander Garvin, economics faculty 1969鈥�98, provide support for faculty research.聽

The Department of Finance and Economics (FIEC) is very pleased that numerous students participated in the 20th Annual Scholars Forum held at the IUP KCAC on April 9, 2025. IUP Student Team Wins CFA Society Pittsburgh Collegiate Stock Picker Challenge

Ronnie Fleck and Evan Sala were the top performers in the聽fall 2024 CFA Society Pittsburgh Collegiate Stock Picker Challenge session, beating out 191 students from more than 15 local universities in the largest competition to date.
